Located in a 100 year-old Registered Tangible Cultural Property, Ryokan Hostel K's House is located in Shizuoka, a 7-minute walk from JR Ito Train Station. The Hostel was super clean. I loved the Onsen you could use, there is a public one as well as private ones. The staff was so helpful and friendly and had some amazing tips on what to see.

Situated in Atami in the Shizuoka region with Atami Sun Beach nearby, SOKI ATAMI features accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a sauna. This place is an absolute dream come true! Every detail was perfection, from the serene surroundings to the fantastic design. Loved strolling around with the provided pyjamas and the private onsen. The dinner was a wonderful culinary experience with top-quality ingredients. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, adding to the overall wonderful experience. Perfectly located near Atami, it's an ideal retreat. If I could, I'd give it more than 10 stars. Just perfect!

Offering a shared lounge and quiet street view, Toraya is set in Gero, 48 km from Takayama Station and 49 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village. 10 min form the train station, located at the river, and close to main shops. Short walk uphill to the Ghasso Village. Very accommodating English speaking staff. We tried the private onsen for 4000 Yen and it was fabulous! Very clean, big rooms with nice energy.

Set 9.1 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, Yumeguri no Yado Yoshiharu offers 5-star accommodation in Izunokuni and has a garden. Well - The food was great - mostly fish - which my wife loved. This is traditional Japanese room - so you sleep on the floor. The Staff was nice - but had limited English. They were good at using Google Translate - so there was no issues.

Facing the seafront, Izu Hokkawa Seaside Guesthouse 伊豆北川の家 is a ryokan providing a 2-star accommodation in Higashiizu. It features a private beach area, garden and private parking. The kindest owner I've ever had. He cares about our comfort and has a genuine curiosity about the guests. I felt like at home. Really cozy and comfortable stay. 100% recommended!

Offering a garden and garden view, Nagataki is located in Nakatsugawa, 13 km from Ōi and 34 km from Japan Taisho Village. The property is allergy-free and is situated 12 km from Enakyo Wonderland. Incredible place to stay. I spent two nights here, enjoying the local scenery and had the pleasure of eating some great food (which was an amazing set of back-to-back courses). I'd highly recommend it for people wanting to hike from Magome to Tsumago as the hosts were kind enough to drop us off at our start point via their bus.

The property has sea and quiet street views, and is 49 km from Mount Daruma.... The hotel is situated on the sea, with an uninterrupted view, a great experience.From check-in, to the onsen, and Japanese breakfast and dinner, plus afternoon tea, we truly experienced traditional Japanese service and enjoyed it very much. From the pick up at the train station to the final drop off at the train station, the two nights and three days were the highlight of our two week trip to Japan. In particular, the lady who brought the food and beverage service to the room was very touching in her seriousness and professionalism.The receptionist is also warm and friendly, very patient and explain one by one.

I spent 1 month travelling around Japan, and I can say it’s the BEST experience in my trip. I loved everything, the family’s hospitality , the room’s view breathtaking and the amazing food, which was delicately prepared with organic local ingredients , so delicious, the best meal in Japan, for sure. Besides, in the breakfast they surprise my friend singing happy birthday in Portuguese, a beautiful gesture and unforgettable. Thank you so much for all, your family is a great team!!!

Boasting sea views, Migiwaya provides accommodation with balcony, around 7.3 km from Rengejiike Park Fuji Festival. This 4-star ryokan offers a lift and free shuttle service. We stayed a night here en route from Osaka to Tokyo. A straightforward train journey and staff from the ryokan collected us in their shuttle although it’s only a ten minute walk but great with all our luggage. The staff member from Bali spoke good English and helped us throughout the stay but all staff were so friendly and welcoming. Our room had an amazing view of the harbour through a huge window. We had western style beds as well as futon and we enjoyed both. The in room onsen was luxurious with an option to book a private slot in the larger communal one. Dinner was a feast for the eyes and stomach! Multiple courses of beautifully prepared dishes all explained and our vegetarian was catered for as well. We enjoyed the sake recommendation and there were many other drinks on offer. Our room had free tea, cold alcoholic drinks, sakura mochi and rice crackers and after dinner we had a midnight snack delivered as well! Breakfast was just as impressive! The owner gave us a lift back to the station! All in all it was a wonderful place to stay!
